KOLOR KUT MODIFIED WATER FINDING PASTE has been designed for use in Methanol, Ethanol enriched fuel systems.
KOLOR KUT 改良的試水膏適用于甲醇、乙醇等濃縮的燃料系統。
Alcohols are soluble in fuels in all proportions when they are water-free but relatively small amounts of waler can cause separation of alcohol from the fuel.

The mixture settling to the bottom of the storage tank contains a high concentration of alcohol and cannot be detected by most water detection pastes.

KOLOR KUT MODIFIED WATER FINDING PASTE changes from dark brown in color to bright red on contact with water. Phase separated alcohol solutions with as little as 6% water will turn the paste yellow.

本產品適用于車用乙醇汽油檢測油樣中的乙醇水含量，傳統無鉛汽油主要成分為碳氫化合物，烴類組成，加入變性氧化燃料乙醇以一定比例與汽油調和而成車用乙醇汽油。
車用乙醇汽油是一種具有發展潛力的清潔燃料,但是由于乙醇具有親水性（能以任意比例互溶）,車用乙醇汽油在儲運過程中易發生分層,這是使用乙醇汽油首先需要解決的問題。在實際生產中和儲運、使用中,儲油罐底部可能存在有游離水,在這種情況下,乙醇汽油中的乙醇會溶入水中,導致乙醇損失并引起相分離溫度的變化。
車用乙醇汽油(以下簡稱乙醇汽油) 是由變性燃料乙醇與汽油以一定比例調合而成的一種汽車燃料。乙醇汽油具有辛烷值高、抗爆性好、含氧量高等優點,是一種清潔燃料,可以顯著降低汽車尾氣中有害物質的排放。乙醇汽油的推廣使用可以節約日益減少的石油資源。
然而,由于乙醇的親水性,乙醇汽油容易吸水,當水含量過大或溫度降低,都會導致分層,即發生了相分離。一旦發生相分離會導致調合、儲存時出現問題,在使用中出現發動機啟動困難,降低輸出功率,甚至導致發動機損壞。乙醇汽油中的乙醇具有吸水性,能從大氣中直接吸收水分,當水分增大到一定程度時,可導致乙醇汽油發生相分離,直接影響到乙醇汽油的使用。
乙醇汽油中水含量對相分離溫度的影響：
水含量對乙醇汽油相分離溫度的影響很大,水含量越高,相分離發生的溫度越高,水含量高到一定程度時,在室溫下乙醇汽油即可發生相分離。

乙醇含量的增高有利于形成均相體系，在水含量相同的情況下,乙醇含量越高,相分離溫度越低。

Using with dip tape of our company, Apply the water finding paste to the ruler of the measuring stick, the brown paste changes colour to brilliant red where it comes into contact with water, giving you a visual indication as to the depth of the water present.

The water can then be pumped out, and the test repeated until there is insufficient water to pump, at which point one of our Water-Soakers can be used to absorb the last of it.

To remove the bulk of the water we would first recommend pumping the water out with a simple self-priming waste oil/water pump, such as our Drill Powered, Flexible Impellor Pump, and a length of 1/2" Hose (Same size as Garden Hose) before using the absorbtion media as described above.
